Welcome to T.W it's a lovely place to live. There is a playgroup in the church on the high street on a Tuesday called squeels on wheels, 9.30 til 11.30.

T.W leisure centre has gymini's which is a bouncy castle, climbing frames etc on wed morning from 9.30 til 11.30 and a fri 1-3. They also do jelly babies sessions in the swimming pool with balls, floats and toys on mon, thur, fri, sat and sun at various times.

Lots of lovely parks, st johns park has a lovely sand pit as do most of the T.W parks. Dunorland is great for feeding the ducks and has a cafe for a pit stop coffee.

The main library in T.W has a bounce and rhyme time on a mon and tue morning.

Various play centres around the area. Our space in High brooms, Minor mania in Frant and Wear m out in Tonbridge, all open from 10am.

Hope this helps! good luck :)

Hi, thank you..

We are really looking forward to moving next week. Everybody I have spoken to has been really friendly and only had good things to say about living in TW.
Sounds like there will be plenty to keep us busy too.

Get hold of a copy of the Grapevine magazine - it has all the details of Mother & Toddler groups. There should be copies at the library or at the sports centre in St John's.

Gyminis in St John's Sports Centre is great for preschool children - lots of bikes/trikes, ballpool, bouncy castle in one of their big big sports halls. Perfect for people to run off some energy. When I last went it was on a Wed morning, Fri afternoon - give them a ring though to check.

Hope the move goes well!

HI! I just wanted to say that we moved to the Village area of TW back in November with our baby (now almost 1) and it has been fantastic! We left all of the friends we had made through NCT etc and I was very apprehensive not knowing anyone but I needn't have worried, everyone I have met has been very friendly and welcoming and there are so many other mums about, especially in this area.

There are so many different groups to go to - we go to music on a Monday (Rhythm Express) and they do classes for babies and toddlers and we have been to an NCT bumps and babies group on a Tuesday at the Camden Centre in town. The library does baby and toddler music/story time on a Tuesday too.

Apart from that I found it quite easy to meet other mums just out and about and there is a group of us now meeting quite regularly at each others houses or in some lovely local cafes for tea and cake Smile.

If you ever fancy meeting up for a cuppa or a walk in the park (The Grove is great for swings/slides etc and right in the Village) then please let me know, I know how daunting it is making a big move to a new area!

Thanks Poppyjen, we are almost packed and ready to go on Friday now. (except half of my daughters toys are unpacked as fast as we can pack them!!)

Im really looking forward to moving, your comments echo everything ive heard about the area and have helped put my mind at rest.

Thank you for the offer, Ill be in touch once weve settled in.. With another baby on the way too, a cuppa and cake is always welcomed!
