My partner & I are considering a move to Denmead (technically part of Winchester, although wasn't sure if I should be posting under 'Portsmouth' too). We live in Southsea but don't know the rest of Hampshire too well and would really appreciate any views on Denmead and whether it's a good place to raise a family. I have a son (2.5 yrs) and a 7 month old daughter. We're looking for somewhere with a strong sense of community, low crime and good schools. I'm attracted to the idea of a 'semi-rural village' but worry there might not be much going on? All views much appreciated! Many thanks.
