NHS antenatal classes

Hi there. Hoping some other local mums can help. I'm 26 weeks on Monday, and have no idea about booking a space in an antenatal class. Should I be booked unto these already? How do I find out about them?

I should have met my midwife at my 16 week appointment, but she was sick, so a different midwife had to see me instead. She was running very behind and I felt very rushed in and out. I'm not due to see my midwife until mid February and am worried that may have missed out.

I'm based in Caversham and would love to hear others' experiences. I could always phone my midwife, but don't want to trouble her with something trivial if I should be waiting patiently.

Thanks fir reading

Hi There may or not be spaces left with nhs
you need to ring your midwife.
If you want to come to private classes I am teaching a NCT class on sunday about 20 minutes drive from you.
Concessions are available for low incomes

It seems that spaces at the Caversham Children's centre are allocated at the 28 week midwife appointment. Am all booked in now. Disappointingly these all take place on Wednesdays in the middle of the day, resulting in both me and DH needing to take a full day off work each time.

Speak to your midwife, our anti natal and post natal groups were done by the same place, which was quite nice.
