Hi there Mumsnetters

I am the mum of a little boy who is 20 months. Although i take my son to groups and activities, i have found it hard to get further than playgroup niceties, i.e. 'oh, how old is your ds/dd then? or 'isn't this a nice group?'blah blah.

Most of my friends have kids of school age so i NEED(!!) other grown ups with young toddlers to chat to during the day, you know, meet ups, playdates etc.

Anyone out there with approximate age kids fancy a meet up with a hope to meeting like minded mums? If you are in the Saltdean area, then splendid! Even better!

I know what you mean about playgroups, it's actually a really strange environment WRT meeting people.

Come drink wine have lunch with us - a much nicer way to meet people!

Or I'd be up for doing something like the park / beach but we're over in Eastbourne (I study in Brighton, and we come over fairly often). Feel free to PM me if you like.

If its no kids how will i know you all? is there is mumsnet secret code ?! Or shall i just look for a frazzled bunch of wine drinking mums looking like they have been let out on good behaviour?!

I'm in Peacehaven and my little noise machine is 14 months old. I'm off work at the moment and skint so bored out of my brain that is quickly going to mush!! Most of my friends live a car drive away and I have little cash for the overpriced petrol so on my own a lot. I have just started going to a playgroup on a Thursday from 12:30 until 2:30 with a couple of friends. If you fancy come with us and we can either meet up before for countless cups of tea or after.
