Can anyone recommend a really good 1-2-1 tutor for my daughter aged, 9. I would like someone working in a private/grammar school.

What do you want the tutor to do with your child? Remedial? English/Maths? Scholarship? SATs? Grammar school 11+?
Where in the country are you?
I am an experienced 11+ tutor in Gloucestershire who taught in a prep school until I had my DC.

Have just seen you are in Ealing!! Sorry can't help - don't know any colleagues there!! Don't do Kip McGrath or Kumon Maths though! Go through local recommendations - any good local tutor will be fully or, nearly fully, booked! I have a waiting list till 2015!

They have just opened a tutoring centre on Pitshanger lane that you might want to check out.

Are you still looking? I am available most week nights and live in Barnes.

Hi,
I give FRENCH tuition to any children from primary school and whose who are preparing GCSE. Any help ?

Meavygirl · 11/05/2011 09:50

Hi
I know you've asked for 1-2-1, but I found the class at Numberworks opposite Waitrose in Ealing really good for both my son and daughter. They get busy on their individual computer with a roving teacher to help out when they needed. It made a huge difference to their grades and they enjoyed it.
Best of luck!

Any chance to boost Your French?
