Welwyn st mary's or applecroft

Help on schools please. Not sure if I should drive to Welwyn st mary's or risk applecroft as first choice as we are a bit out of catchment. A friend got Peartree taking this gamble last year. Please help

My Daughter changed school to Welwyn St. Marys, she has adapted very well and made lots of new friends. The school is very good, with great oppotunities for all levels, you must go for a look round, it's a really lovely school, as it has a two form intake, it tends to have spaces. The journey from WGC into Welwyn is ok on school runs,traffic tends to be worse going into WGC. There are plenty of children from WGC, so with in time can share school run with another mum?
