Woodstock and Bladon

We're considering a move from Oxford to Woodstock or Bladon, and we have 3 primary-aged dc. Can anyone tell me about living in those areas, and about Bladon or Woodstock Primaries and The Marlborough School please?

Bumping hopefully - there must be some MN who live in Woodstock or Bladon out there!

Just you and me on this lonely thread then, Tarka. Might post in chat to see if there's any response there. Are you in Oxford too?

My hubby is from that area - what do you want to know specifically?

I understand the schools to be good, including Marlborough. Both nice areas, as far as I know. If you ask something specific, then I'll ask my better half!

Both Woodstock and Bladon primaries are very well thought of. The Marlborough is also good.

Hello Sinkingfeeling - My wife and I live in Woodstock and our first baby is due in June. We also have a number of friends with young children / babies locally. From what I have heard, the Marlborough schools, both primary and secondary, are very highly thought of and there is a thriving local community. We have lived here about 3 years and wouldn't think of leaving.

Thanks everyone - had forgotten I'd started this thread! Sounds like a pretty positive picture then. Just need to take the plunge and put our own house on the market ... :)
