Nursery/daycare in leith?

Hi, first time here & hope someone can help!! 30 month old DD is v bright and great but full on. Currently driving across town to Montessori toddler group in Morningside but drive is v stressful and long and I can't see me doing that for another three years til she starts school. Finally accepted we are unlikely to move to that side of town so we are looking at her going to Holy Cross, Trinity or perhaps Edinburgh Academy. What I really need is a good, friendly not manic or dirty nursery for her to go to in the mornings until August, because I have depression and anxiety which are kicking my butt just now. Long and boring story.

Anyone got nursery and/or school thoughts?
Cheers x

Does Edinburgh Academy not have a nursery, or is that just in term time?

Other than that, I've heard good things about Forbes nursery on Leith Links. I know a few people with children there. Apparently it has a fab walled garden. Think there is a waiting list though, but might be an option if you could be flexible about the days she goes.

Hope you get things sorted soon.

Trinity doesn't have a nursery. I've heard mixed reports re Forbes, a strong smell of pee being one of them! but also people who love it.

The best thing to do is to go on the Care Commission website and read the reports.

If you live near Trinity how about Careshare in Newhaven or Heriothill in Canonmills, still fairly close.

Hope you find somewhere that suits.
