Did anyone else miss out on an NCT place?

I'm new to mumsnet and a first time mum to be. Unfortunatley I've missed out on an NCT place - baby due in May.

Does anyone know of another way of meeting women in the same pregnancy stage? Am new to the area and don't know anyone so would like to meet some people. Thanks.
