Hello all,
Anyone have any ideas for days out near Nottingham with good playareas? I like Rushcliffe country park which has a great play area with walks, but we have been there a few times and would like a change.

Lakeside near the Tennis Centre is good. You can walk round the lake and there is a nice outdoor play area a also a good coffee shop.

Wollaton park is also worth a visit, as is Clumber Park.

Are you in the south of Notitngham? There is also the main park in West Bridgford, if you are around that area - just off Central Avenue. It's great and has a fantastic sandpit. The Donkey Sanctuary at East Leake also has excellent play areas, including a really nice indoor play area which would suit under 5's really well if the weather turns. Ithink it may have expanded it's indoor facilities since I went too. Take your own food though as it is one of the worst foodwise.

Whereabouts are you? I can recommend some great days to the north.
