Entertainers - 5yo DS party

Hey
Sorry, have only just discovered the local thread, will keep it watched now.

DS turns 5 in the spring, I have a hall venue butdon't want to go down the bouncy castle route because he's not the most boisterous boy in the world and he gets a bit freaked out by other more physical boys in his class.

Does anyone have any recommendations for an entertainer to keep them busy for an hour or so?

He's been to a T.Ricks party and there have been several this year in his class, so probably not him, although they love that.

My DD alwyas liked DJ Sterling, but DS doesn't really enjoy dancing so much.

Any tips?

Thanks

DS also turns 5 in the spring. Not decided on party yet but he does go to football coaching at Powerleague in Whitchurch on saturdays and they do parties there. Will be picking up an leaflet when I take him on Saturday. I'll post details if you are interested.

Still umming & ahhing (sp!) as DS2 turns 3 just 5 dyas later and I don't want to do 2 parties (not sure I want to do any!!)

What about a reptile party? www.cardiffreptilecentre.co.uk/ - although the link to their party section isnt working, it might be worth giving them a ring.

THe powerleague idea isn't a bad one, but we already have a free hall booked, so it seems a bit pointless to pay more, esp as it's a reception party, so 30+ kids. Will note it down for next year though for sure though, so thank you.

cornetjo - not sure I can even bear to click on that link - if he wants a reptile party then I won't be there - I'm a shameful petrified little girl of all things crawly

Bumping for more ideas. I seem to remember there being a man called Jasper that did cool parties, but maybe he's moved on as I can't find any online presence.

His name is Jasper Blakeley Jasper Blakeley. I know he used to do childrens parties because I have worked with him a few times, but I cant see anything on his website. Perhaps you could give him a ring.

Alternatively, I am a face painter Crazy Faces and can definitely recommend facepainting for this age range, but obviously an entertainer will hold their attention more.

My sister-in-law did a sports party with egg & spoon, relay & sack races which went down really well, but you need to organise yourself, which wouldn't be my thing!!! Good Luck
