This board is very very quiet, I think a lot of southend mums are MNetters in hiding

I used to live in Southend - the dses went to Chalkwell Hall Schools - but we live in Scotland now, so not very helpful for you.

The mums and toddlers at Leigh Road Baptist church is good, and so is the St Michaels Playgroup, opposite the Conservative club, on Leigh road.

I also gather there is a lovely wool shop in Leigh called Roses and Rue (I think) that has opened since I left, and which I would be spending a fortune at, if I still lived there!

I've lived here for 11.5 years. Before that we were expats in the middle east & before that I lived in Wales.
I may look into those playgroups DTsGirl.
I do take the baby to one in a chuch in Eastwood. Pinnocios (sp)
No idea about the wool shop as I can barely sew on a button

I'm in Southend so not too far away! Lived here for pretty much my whole life and have a ds who is 10 weeks old :)
