Infant Schools - West Hove area

Hiya,

I'm about to do my admissions (would have done sooner, but had one last appointment..).

My first 2 choices are West Hove and the new school at Connaught (we're in last years catchment area for West Hove, but it's been decreasing yearly so... who knows?!Sad).

Stuck on my 3rd choice. Basically, due to location, it will be Benfield or Portslade Infants and I was wondering what experiences anyone had of either?
I wasn't 100% impressed with Benfield (in that it seemed pretty unstructured), but it's early days there and parent feedback on the Ofsted report for the juniors is good. However, Portslade Infants doesn't have a linked Junior school and with Benfield now having it's own reception classes, there will be less availability at Junior level..

Thoughts.. anyone??? Confused

My friend's daughter started Benfield this year and they are v impressed. Small classes, good staff to
Child ratio and positive use of art, dance etc

Portslade Infants is linked with St Nicholas Junior School which is located next door- I have friends with children there and they are very, very happy :)
