Anyone Else with Partner in Merchant Navy?

I am new to this thread and looking for any other mum's whose partners are in the Merchant Navy. Apologies if there is already a thread for this but would love to hear from anyone who is in a similar position to myself - recently had a baby and finding it challenging at times when he is at sea...and at home !

aww hugs hun, cant offer any supprt as my partner isnt in the navy or army etc but i can imagine it would be hard xx

My husband is not in the merchant navay but in the marines and I have no family in Glasgow. All my mates have their own families or are at work so I also find it hard.
My little one is 6 months old and she is a joy but it is very hard so I understand.

So sorry for the delay in messaging you - have just managed to get online after about two weeks!! Our babies are nearly the same age as Katie is six months three weeks. That must be so tough with your husband away in the marines and a lot tougher than it will be for me. I'll send you a wee message just now but hope you are okay. Everyone on here has been very supportive so far which is brilliant.
