Good butchers in York??

We've rented a house for Christmas week so we can visit relatives and suddenly panicking that I haven't ordered a turkey yet - does anyone have any suggestions for a good butcher. We're staying close to the racecourse in the centre of York. Big thanks if you can help out.

There is a great one on Bishopthorpe road - near the racecourse. It is called M & K butchers, locally produced meat etc.

That one iis good but the best by far is Richardsons of Woodthorpe. Also near to where you are.

The Farmers Cart nr Strensall is also selling turkeys (they have been in an enclosure next to the hens/goats for the last few months!) - they look great.

The farmers cart is very good - we get all our meat there.
