Toddler stuff to do when it's snowing

I've a 3yo & an 18mo in Perth. We went sledging but the walk home was memorably traumatic and I'm going a bit spare as I'm usually very out and about. Was thinking of getting the train to Edinburgh or Glasgow to do the Ed Christmas market with them...anyone got any other good ideas? I don't mind soft play but don't know of any decent ones (i.e. has windows!)

I wouldn't get on a train with 2 kids in this weather. What if the trains get cancelled on the way home? Seriously, there is lots of disruption in the lothians and having been stuck on the M90 outside Perth on Monday for 6 hours I'd reconsider going anywhere. Luckily, DS wasn't with us in the car but I dread to think how much worse it would've been.....

National Museum on Chambers Street is my standby. Although they shut early yesterday because of the bastard snow.

(That wasn't how they phrased it in the announcement, but still.)

We went to the Gruffalo on stage at the Pleasance yesterday which was almost empty and great. The Gruffalo's Child is coming in 2 weeks.
