Hi folks, I'm considering a move to Edinburgh from the US for a one year course at the university. I'll be bringing my 11 year old daughter. She would be P7 from all that I've read.

Does anyone have advice on where I should live for a good primary school and an affordable flat? I won't have a car and will need to get to the Moray school of education for my course.

Any help you can offer is most welcome. Thanks

Hi, been a long time since I rented so not too sure about prices and areas. Can the uni offer help with accommodation? Or finding it, at least. There are lots of great primary schools, and buses are generally good so you should be able to get to Moray house even if you live a bit away (try www.lothianbuses.com if you want to check out the bus routes!)
Try www.s1rental.com, just to get a feel for the prices.
I'm sure you'll love it, if you decide to go ahead Smile

Moray house is in the centre of town so you can look in many areas. If you want to be within reasonable walking distance you could look at living in newington or marchmont...
