A child from the DC's school has recently been diagnosed with leukaemia.

They are trying bone marrow transplants but at the moment there are no suitable donors within his family.

In order to increase awareness and to encourage people to donate there is a registration day at the German School at Ham (Petersham Road. Next to the Ham Polo Club) on Saturday 4th December, 10 - 2pm.

This is being run by the Anthony Nolan Trust as well as the DKMS (German organisation).

We are desperate to get more people involved. All it takes to register is a saliva sample.

If you are over 18 then please please please come along!

If you can't attend, you can apply online and they will send you a saliva collection kit in the post. It really is as simple as a little bit of spitting; there are no blood tests required any more (unless you get identified as a match later on).
