Gawd, honestly I would rather hang around in hell for the day than visit West Quay.

appreciated.. probably agree with you.. they are thinking about opening a new floor with designer stores which is why they want the research so help with the questions will genuinely help us get the shops we actually want in southampton :)

18.What do you most dislike about West Quay? god, where to start... I can not stand the crowd of barely human life-forms that stand by the entrance smoking, you can barely see through the shadowy murk. I hate walking through the smoke cloud, I hate having to push through to get to the entrance/exit because they stand there moronically being confused you might want to to get to the door, I hate walking on the carpet of fag butts. I hate the way the ground floor slopes, it hurts my knees. I dislike the food court intensely, It is noisy and claustrophobic. The toilets/baby change being on the top floor in a far distant corner is bloody irritating. I hate the general aimlessness of the whole centre, people stand lost and confused like they have given up on life as there is no flow to the place. I dislike the trendy shop that looks like a restaurant (Hollister?) but I suspect that one is due to me being old and grumpy. I used to hate the scrum for the lifts until I realised I could use the lift in Gap, so now I marvel that no one else has cottoned onto also doing so. Mostly I dislike the general air of hopelessness West Quay fills me with.

18.What do you most dislike about West Quay?having to walk round in circles, the long trek to the toilets and the crowd of smokers outside the entrances, don't very often find what I want seems to be either too expensive or cheap and nasty
19.would you like to see more of the following: Womenswear(something better quality than H&M, New look and Primark but less expensive than Fat face, Oasis Gap etc) Menswear (really need more choice for men), Childrens (again something good quality but not over priced and suitable for everyday wear), vintage fashion, sportswear ( a shop you can get round and find what you want at a reasonable price), ethical (absolutely).

Bloody annoying design that means you have to go round and round and round the blasted place to get from one shop to another. Most of the time I walk out by Waterstones and walk round to the front on the outside.

18.What do you most dislike about West Quay? The layout. Have always felt it's poorly designed particularly around John Lewis / M&S end. Access between floors is inconvenient - often feels like a trek to get to another floor, irritates me every time. Don't like Hollister either - shopping in the dark?? (but guess wasn't aimed at me)
