Hiya, I am looking for any good heated swimming pools in Bromley/Orpington area?

I find council pools not very clean and good for splashing , but not for learning ? Any pointers? many thanks

The Spa in Beckenham has a great teaching pool with sessions for mums and babies (the floor comes up so the depth of the pool can change). It is on bus routes and near tram, and has plenty of parking too!

there's a swimming company that does lessons at the Bethlem Hospital swimming pool in beckenham...not sure if they do toddlers but they definitely teach babies ..here's a link www.tinyfins.co.uk

I've always found the Beckenham teaching pool loud and noisy. Biggin Hill have a brand new pool. There is no "baby" as such but the pool is not massive and during the day it's very quite and has quite a lot of mums and babies visiting. There are specific family times but if you call they will tell you when it's quiet. There is a free car park round the back of the building and it's only 20 minutes from Bromley. It's also a brand new library so you can get books out at the same time!

I would try the teaching pool in the Spa in Beckenham. They do lessons (I think it is £6 a go, but you sign up for a term of 10 weeks I think in advance), and they also do family splash sessions on weekdays and Sundays. It is much quieter on weekdays (although the sessions only seem to run over a lunchtime) and as early as you can make it on Sunday mornings. Anything after 10:15 and its already really busy (but nice if you like a bit of noise and other kids!).
