Hello ladies,

My mummy friends and I live in the North Cambridge area (Fen Ditton, Cherry Hinton, Teversham etc) and have toddlers around the 18 month mark. We are looking for toddler groups to take them to in the afternoons, but don't seem to be having much luck! We can find loads in the mornings, or around lunchtime, but hardly any from 2pm onwards. Does anybody know of any? We all drive, so as long as they're not too far away then not a problem. Thanks.

There is a dance group in Newnham (st marks) weds afternoon.

What about Tumbletots - what do they offer?

Have you tried Sure start centres - Homerton have been running one on a Tues afternoon although I think they may have just had the last session - they may do more in Jan?

Hi Cazz, thanks for the info. Do you know what the dance group is called?..I'll see if I can google it. I have checked out the Tumbletots sessions, but again, they all seem to be in the mornings! I'll definitely check out the Homerton Sure Start centre too. Thanks again.

Hi, my NCT group have been meeting for a few years, but now we've nearly all had 2nd babies, we're finding meeting at each others houses too cramped! Does anyone know of a place/group that we could go on Fri afternoons where children can play and we can chat with coffee and cake?! We're around Swavesey, St Ives, Huntingdon area...
Thanks!

We were planning an afternoon storytelling (free) but we couldn't launch it because of lack of volunteers, but it's in the pipeline.

There are some good cafes in Cambridge like Michelmas and Stepping Stones, which are attached to churches and pram friendly.

Was sent this by one of our NCT hosts

We were delighted to find today at the Botanic Gardens that the new Cafe has just opened. Its beautiful; plenty of space for meeting friends with children, home-made soup ( always a vegan option too:), the children's book collection back in position and of course the lovely gardens and green houses to walk around afterwards. And incidentally entry to the Gardens is currently free during the week (Spring weekday charges start from the end of this month).
