Is it as good as it seems?

Couldn't have wished for a better school. My DD joined in Year 3 and is now in the upper part of the school. She has had a wonderful time there, great group of like minded friends, great results, very good staff. It is an academic environment and they do work the girls hard; standards are high but for a bright girl it is ideal. Not for everyone though and I know some have not liked it but not sure for what reason. They have suffered a change of heads over the last few years (after the sad loss of a very popular headmistress), but now have a very competent, sensible head who seems to be steering them in the right direction and the girls seem to have taken to her. Doesn't suit everyone but for my DD it has been the right choice and I will be sad when she leaves.

Brilliant school, I look after a lot of the children from there, and was also an SAHS mum, my DD hopes her children will one day go there, which is more than can be said about a lot of ex hab girls and their daughters.

Friend of mine has her daughter there, is very happy with it.

Does anyone know of any childminders in St Albans who would pick up and drop off for SAHS? Highschoolmum - you say you look after some of the girls there -any spaces?!
