currently choosing a secondary school for ds1 (yes, yes, i know the deadline is oct 31!)
like christ's and greycourt for different reasons. always thought would prefer christ's as nearer, think a smaller school may suit ds better and it's stronger on the arts which he loves.
but haven't met head which bothers me
was overseas for open evening and school told me he doesn't meet parents on tours/drop-ins 
so what's he like??
impressed with greycourt's head and what she's doing there. but concerned art department doesn't seem strong, although she did say she was planning changes. also it's two bus rides away (hardly an educational worry, i know just me being wimpy 
)
so - particularly if you've got dcs at either school -i'd be so grateful to hear your views. strengths? weaknesses?
what are the teachers like? most importantly, do your kids enjoy it and _ whisper it - do they have some fun along with the slog?
