Anyone here from the east lothian area? We are moving to Haddington in November and as I know absolutely no one I would like to meet a few people! I have a 10 month old son and pregnant with number 2.

Hi Kirsten123..

I'm not in East Lothian but am in Edinburgh in Comely Bank/Stockbridge area of the city.

I too have just moved here and am pregnant with my first.

Would be nice to meet up with you if we can.. I don't always have a car as my husband has it for work but I'm sure we can work something out. :)

Hope the move goes ok.. are you moving from far away??

I'm moving from Cumbria a few hours away, I cant drive but I'm sure we can arrange something :)

Hi girls, congratulations, Im pregnant too with my first baby, due in April. Im from Edinburgh and live in Musselburgh but will be moving further out to Tranent if I get my flat sold!

Have you tried other websites for meeting local mums, dont know if it will let me write this here, netmums, that has a local bit on it too.

Oh and welcome to Scotland, what made you move up here?

neenewps · 23/10/2010 18:37

Congratulations mackiejunior

and sounds great kirsten123 :o

I have looked at a few other ways of meeting local Mums so fingers crossed they work out too... I'm sure that we will get to meet people too at antenatal classes etc :)

Thanks for the welcome to Scotland... we moved up here to escape London and we also really love it up here.

kirsten123 when are you due??

I am 2 months after you mackiejunior... due in June 2011 so still v.early days for me but I am very excited...

kirstin123 · 24/10/2010 13:59

I'm due at the beginning of March :) We moved as we wanted to be close to a city for jobs etc. but still in the countryside and really wanted a change of scenery from where we are at the minute.

I have tried the other site but have had no response :(

This has prompted me to convert from lurker to member!

We moved to Prestonpans a year ago and am due my first in mid-March next year, Scary times :o

Hope all goes well with the move kirstin123 and everyone here is keeping well.

Hello ladies,

I would suggest that you contact your local mother and toddler groups. I have worked with many groups in the past years photographing their children and I am sure they would make you welcome pre birth to meet Mums in the area. You might also get a wee cuddle :)

Some in your local are:

Haddington - Gifford Village Hall
Tranent - Elphinstone Community Centre
Prestonpans - Port Seton Community Centre

Good luck with your new homes and your new bundles of joy when they arrive.

Thanks,
Gail
