Does anyone have any recommendations for a late Sunday lunch for 2 families with toddlers? Preferably in Histon/North side of Cambridge area.

The Golden hind is 'family friendly' but not too sure what it's really kike!

NoSleepTillWeaning · 18/10/2010 09:26

God, don't go to the golden hind.

Think the one on the corner near the duck pond is ok - can't remember what it is called. Will ask friends which one they go to.

Apparently I'm talking rubbish. The one by the pond is not great but the boot is ok (and one of the others but not the one that does Thai). Sorry can't remember the names! Should have taken notes.

I would also not recommend the Golden Hind if you want to eat. The atmosphere is actually quite nice and it's spacious and takes all comers (I mean that in a good way), the food is grim caterer fare. I can't think of anywhere else though.

I had a feeling that might be case. that's why I was hesitant..

Yes, you were right! I ate there on Friday night so my feelings about it are still fresh.

The Barley Mow in Histon does great food & we went there on Friday night. Get in early if you can. They do kids meal portions (very generous ones!) on a Sunday.
