Hi all, new to this and thought i'd say hi.

I live in clydebank I have an 8 year old son and am 8 weeks pregnant with no 2!

When i had No 1 I was in the queen mums and this time i'm pretty sure i'll be at the southern.

Have been to see the docs but haven't heard anything from the midwife yet re dating scan and general appointment etc. obviously it's been a while since last time so i feel almost like i'm starting new!Shock can any other mums advise when i should hear from the midwife?

thanks and looking forward to talking more! :)

Hi there. My ds is 10 and I also had him at the Queen Mum's.

Can't tell you much about the Southern: my subesequent pregnancies were both MMCs - one dealt with by the QM's (well), and one by the Southern (badly - although the sonographer was lovely. It wasn't her fault the midwives were misreading her reports)

There's a Scottish Christmas meet-up in Edinburgh on 4 December with a contingent going across from Glasgow on the train (not all of whom have met before) and there have been some attempts to get a meet-up in Glasgow before then.

thanks pretty bird. i'm pretty sure i'll have my scans at the local health centre as that was the case last time. just wishing they would hurry up and get me an appointment or at least an aknowledgement. very nervous about this one.

Hi neadsy

I'm in Clydebank as well and I'm pregnant with no 2, still breastfeeding ds1 so have no idea how far on I am and Clydebank health centre have referred me to early pregnancy unit for an urgent dating scan... 1 week later still haven't heard anything.

Ds1 was born in nov 09 at queen mums. If I remember correctly, the community midwives come to your house for booking in, which for me was around 11.5weeks, then scan around 13 weeks. Scan and all other appointments took place at health centre on wed afternoons.

Thanks dontworrybaby the process has deffo changed since I ds1 although I did have all my appts at the health centre last time wich is great as it's only 5 minutes away! Although it dies mean I'm gonna have to keep my secret for an extra week! Am dying to tell my wee boy he's 8 and has been desperate for a brother or sister for so long!

Hello, had some experience of epu at southern, they were lovely. Nice clean floors too - I collapsed on one so can assure you I have seen it close up Grin Am just along road from you! Probably passed you in ASDA!

Haha probably. I seem to spend half my life in that place!
