Hello Ladies

I organise bollywood theme parties on the isle of man and the uk and am moving to oxford in the near future.

The per person price at my usually include. -
Dress Up for men and women
Henna Corner
Dance demonstrations
Indian Food
Bollywood room and table decor

my business also

  1. Costume Hire with assistance
  2. Private parties at homes or at a location of your choice for all ages.
  3. Provides discounted services for charities.

I just wanted to do a survey to find out how many of you would be interested in attending or knowing more about these events in your local area.

I have successfully enetertained more than 400 people at events organised by me in only the few months that we have been trading.

A simple yes or no answer would suffice but any comments or suggesstions would be greatly appreciated.

Have you thought about targeting advertising at college JCRs? This sounds exactly the sort of thing that they might be interested in including in summer balls.

Yes. I don't understand what you mean by JCR? I am planning in touch with the student unions about this.

JCR is Junior Common Room. The way Oxford University is organised (by college) the central student union doesn't do much on the social side. That tends to be done by the individual colleges, and their student unions are generally called JCRs (except Wadham, who thinks that's elitist so has a student union). Not every college does a ball every year, though -- each college tends to do one around every three years, sometimes combined between two colleges.

In summer 2011 (May/June) there will be balls at Trinity, Worcester, Christ Church, St Catherine's, St Peter's, and maybe some others. It would be worth specifically targeting "The President of the Ball Committee" at each of those colleges in a couple of weeks to let them know what you can offer.
