mummy and baby in Brixton

anyone know of any mummy and baby groups in Brixton/Clapham area? I'm new to this- what do they do at them?!

I used to live in Brixton. Have you tried the 1 o'clock clubs? There's one in Brockwell park (in the building by the children's playground) and one on Clapham common too (I think that one's near the Windmill).

I live in Brixton and have a 10mth old. There are a whole load of children's centres that your HV should have given you a booklet about - phone those closest to you and get a list of their activities - some sessions are particularly focussed on under 18mth olds. There's a lovely singing group that meets at the library at 10am on Mondays - you go in the side disabled entrance - next one is 10th Jan. Most children's centres do baby massage - good to sign your self up for one. The Brockwell Park 1 o'clock club has a Jumping Beans for free play and singing at 11am on Friday mornings and Stay and Play sessions every day except monday 1-4pm. There's Baby Yoga (pricey) at Brockwell Lido and the Big Scream cinema (highly recommended) at the Ritzy on Friday mornings.
