That's really not helping much, is it?
I'll explain (get a chair and a cuppa!).
My WM decided to stop at various stages of the cycle and had to be manually turned to make it move to the next stage. It also seems to be filling only with hot water. Whilst investigating the intake pipes under the sink I discoveref that the hot pipe was leaking so I reported this to the Landlord. He came along, fiddled with them, stopped the leak but couldn't get the WM working properly either. he DID mess around with the hot and cold taps under the sink which control the intake of water to the WM and although I can't make them do anything different despite moving them this way or that I'm wondering if he's stopped the cold flow.
Subsequently the hot and cold water taps in my upstairs bathroom handbasin (and only there, oddly) have switched over insofar as the hot tap now provides cold water and vice versa.
As far as I can make out from the web this could be down to the temperature guage on the boiled breaking down BUT it may not be!
Similarly the WM problem COULD be down to a leak BUT it may not be!
So, I've said sod it, bought a new WM, which s I said, is waiting to be plumbed in (the old one was ancient anyway and without a quick wash facility or a particularly good spin speed). I now want that plumbed in so I have a WM that works properly, to know if the existing one is not working purely because of a leak or water supply problem as I have promised it to an engineer friend but would like him to know if he has a working or faulty machine when he comes to collect it, and to know the reason for the swapped hot and cold supply to the bathroom handbasin and, if necessary, get the landlord to sort that out as if it's the temp guage it could be dangerous.
Are you still awake? :)
