Birthday party venue for 8 year old boy

Can anyone recommend a fun party venue in Bristol, preferably in South Gloucestershire/North Bristol where food would also be served by staff? It should be suitable for 8 year olds. We know places like "Jump", "Wishing Well", "Avon Valley", etc. but are looking for something a little bit different this time, eg. we once went to a climbing party which was loads of fun. Any new ideas? Many thanks xxx

I don't know if food is served by staff, but mine have always enjoyed tunnelling and climbing at Tytherington Quarry.

Or Laser Quest?

Many thanks for your suggestions HooNose. I forgot to mention that we would prefer indoors since his birthday is at the end of October. We have already checked out Laser Quest but wouldn't prefer it because it is difficult to monitor the children once they are inside playing the laser game...

Tytherington Quarry is indoors afaik - in a big warehouse type building. Sorry, I can't help with any other suggestions but I am sure someone else will be along soon.

We've used The University of West of England sports centre. They do different types of kids parties and have a huge inflatable assault course which the kids (eight) enjoyed.

You get ready made up sandwich party boxes. Could easily supplement with cake and more sweet things if you wanted too. (It is 'healthy' stuff).

Meenar, regarding Laser Quest and other Laser Tag venues,

Some venues will allow parents of the group to be in the arena to watch their kids. All venues should have a trained marshal in the arena at all times enforcing the rules and helping anyone who gets in to trouble. Ask at the venue to see what they allow.

Disclaimer: This based on the arena I own and run, others may not allow it. All should still have a marshal.
