Has anyone used the Scotrail Kids go Free for certain attractions?

Is it only valid for whichever attraction you choose on the day you actually travel over on the train?

I am taking dd1 over to Edinburgh next weekend, getting the train over on Saturday and coming home on Monday but I ideally want to use the Kids go Free part for the camera obscura on the Sunday or Monday but not sure if I would be able to as the train ticket over will be dated for the Saturday.

Does this make sense at all Hmm? I have looked at the Scotrail website but there is scant information...I need specifics people Grin

you can only use the offer on the date on the train ticket- i've emailed them before about it! but if you go into the tourist info office on princes street you'll find some leaflets and you might get a discount on them!

if you're planning on going to the zoo and doing the sight seeing tour you can get a child free entry into the zoo using the tour ticket- which is valid for 2 days:) the tour bus is also handy for going to dynamic earth ( just a wee warning- if your dd is quite young she might get a bit bored there- my 6 yo and 4 yo found the first half of it boring- alot of standing about listening to someone talk about things they were too young to understand)

we went for a weekend during the holidays and the kids had a great time:) hope you do to:)

Brilliant tips kirmcc, thanks so much. Hadn't thought about using the tour bus as a way of getting around . Smile
