Medised-why?

Hello, can anyone shed any light on why medised is now only for 2+. Has the formulation changed as I used to give it to DS1 & DS2 years ago. 4 month DS3 has stinky cold and I was away to give him a dose but realised the age change. Help!

I thought it was for age 5+.
The rules changed because the authorities that be decided that we parents were too dim to avoid mixing Medised with other paracetamol contianing products .
Medised bottles still have dosage instrux on them for under 2s -- I expect it's legal to sell for under 2s outside of Britain, so why not?
