Somewhere to meet up, not far from M4

Hi - I'm planning to meet up with a friend who lives several hours away and having established Swindon as a half-way point would really appreciate any suggestions!
As we don't know the area it would need to be fairly easy to find (and preferably not too far from M4). We've got 4 very small children between us so somewhere child-friendly where they can play/crawl about, with a cafe or near somewhere to buy snacks etc would be perfect.
Don't know if I'm asking for too much but any ideas would be gratefully received!
thanks

There is a really nice garden centre just off the M4 junction 16 with a craft village. It has a soft play area, painting, cup cake decorating and 2 nice cafes plus the garden centre itself to look around. We go there quite alot Smile

The garden centre is nice, but you pay for the children per half hour and it can get expensive if you have a couple after a while!

Alternatively, there is a soft play play just off the M4 in Swindon called Kids About www.kidzabout.com/

There is also a pub called Churchill house, which has a soft play in it and you can eat there. You pay a fixed rate of £2.50 per child for two hours in the play area. www.churchill-swindon.co.uk/index.php

Or if you go further up the motorway to Chippenham (about a further half an hour) then there is a pub called the Cepen Park. This has got a soft play in it too. www.brewersfayre.co.uk/restaurants/details/?id=3399.

All are within 5 mins off the M4 (either junction 16 or 17).

Thanks very much - all very useful ideas. Appreciate you both taking the time to post links. Spoilt for choice now!
