Heating engineer in or near Oxford?

We need to install a new combi boiler (current one is about 17 years old and very inefficient) - can anyone recommend a plumber/heating engineer in the Oxford area who could do this for us?

Ian Ross is a good plumber, based in east Oxford I think. We've used him and so have a couple of friends - all good reports.

Contact Oxfordshire District Council - they have a list of approved traders which they monitor for quality and fairness - I think it may even be on their website :)

Just updating this - we went with Ian Ross in the end, and had a new boiler installed last week. I could highly recommend him - excellent service. Looking forward to my lower gas bills now. Many thanks for the recommendations everyone.

Would you mind me asking how much it cost? Our boiler is ancient and thought working fine at the moment, it'll crap out soon I'm sure..

Sinkingfeeling · 23/11/2010 12:43

It was around £2400 - not a combi boiler.

Our combi boiler cost £2700 including fitting and commissioning - but it's a big bugger.
