Hi,

We are thinking about moving to this area. It looks fine to me, having driven around a few times, but some people I know have said its a place to steer clear of.

Anyone know it well or have an opinion about it?

thanks

I think the main parts of Highbury are fine (the 1930's style houses). Have had friends live there and had no problems. It's the Hawthorn Crescent bit at the end (the council flats by the train track) that are best avoided.

thanks,
I'm quite local already, in Waterlooville, just don't venture into Cosham too often, so needed to find out more.

Any one else have opinions?

Pluses that I can see include: you'll get more house for your money here, good transport links (motorways, train, bus), and walking distance from Cosham shops. Minuses: noise/pollution from A27/local college; bad reputation of immediate school (apparently); only main entry/exit onto estate is from Portsmouth Road I think - traffic/congestion etc. Depends what you're looking for really! HTH!
