LEA Nursery classes in Cambs

Hi

My son can go to one of these from next year and I'm thinking of applying. Do people know if you can opt for children NOT to go everyday?

I work currently 3 days a week and he couldn't go those days because I don't get back home 'til gone 6pm and I think the class finishes at 12 ish... so he could only go on days I don't work or while I'm on Maternity leave.

Just interested to hear what other people have done or are thiking of doing.

Thanks,
Sallypoo

Not sure if this is what you mean, but my DS is going to an LEA nursery class in Cambridge this Sept and will be attending 2.5 days a week.

The nursery school offered several options:

Mon, Tues, 8.45-3.45 and Weds morning 8.45-11.45

Weds afternoon 12.45-3.45 and Thurs and Fri 8.45-3.45

Mon-Fri mornings only

Mon-Fri Afternoons only

Mon-Fri full time (at additional cost)

If it is for the 15 hours funded place, I think pretty much all private nurseries offer flexi hours to accommodate this. Some of the private nurseries are very good indeed.

Off the top of my head I am thinking of Millington Road (term time only) Sunflower (all year round) Kings Street Preschool, Pattacake...there will be others of course.

I think Harvey Road and JCN like the children to attend 5 days a week so that wouldn't be so suitable from what you say.
