hello cidre/scrab!
aaah bless you, how lovely that you are checking how we're getting on..Smile
well, have keys to house and moving in properly on friday (dh working away so not before). ds has been offered a place in the afternoon nursery at Flora Stevenson - did your kids go to the nursery?
I have my reservations as he will be with kids mostly younger than him, although we have asked that if a place comes free in the morning class (which he should be in for pre school year) then he can move into that..
any thoughts?
am going to attempt to CAT you now, am never sure whether it will work or not..! But do feel free to retain your anonymity if you so wish Grin

A good friend sent her DCs to Flora Stevenson nursery (not the school) and they couldn't speak highly enough. They also started off with an afternoon place but a month later a morning place became available so I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

aah thats brilliant thecrackfox! Really encouraging.. we are in the rather odd situation of having been offered a place for ds there having never even seen the inside of the school as we made the offer on our house etc.. after last term ended so couldn't look around. So we are relying upon FS's good reputation really! So good to hear that people have had a good experience of the nursery especially..
and yes, we are also really hoping a place will magically become available in the morning too Smile

TBH you have done so well so far so I think your luck will hold and by Christmas you will have that coveted morning place. Smile

Hiya Fairylights, good to hear all going well! Both my DD's went to FS nursery, one 5 terms, and one 6. They loved it and so did we. Is very caring and nurturing I found.
Fingers xed about am place.

hello again - sorry this is a very sloooow conversation! thanks again cidre, ds is starting next week so really hoping he settles well, I have met several people at playgroups who say how lovely the teachers are Smile I think maybe the afternoon place will be good to start with as apparently he will be in a much smaller group which will probably help with the transition etc..
will be great to have him out from under my feet for a couple of hours a day anyway! Grin
