cheap fabric

on a mission to make some curtains & other bits and pieces, where's the cheapest place to buy good fabric in edinburgh? Anyone know of any markets nearby that sell fabric?

Don't know if they're any good or not, but there's someone advertises curtains and curtain fabrics in the "bargain basement" bit of the evening news most days. Might be worth a phone call to see if they've got stuff they're not actively adverstising.

discovered the curtain exchange is in kirkliston too another one to investigate...don't want to pay ££££££ for curtains.

The Curtain Agency in Kirkliston is fab, fab, fab. I'd definitely recommend it as I got some lovely very inexpensive curtains there and they're really helpful.

(If you're anything like me, go when you're feeling well rested tho, as the choice was a bit overwhelming. I got a decision crisis funk on and had to go off and come back when I'd had some lunch!)

They also do some reasonably priced fabrics there too.

Remnant Kings is quite good, Seafield Road, they have a large selection of stuff and are very helpful.

Sorry if its not your thing, but lots of cool material in Ikea too...
