Redbridge primary schools

Hi there

We are thinking of moving to Woodford/wanstead area and are totally confused about schools.

Does anyone have any insight / experience of Snaresbrook, Churchfields, Nightingale, Wells, Oakdale - or any others?

Trying to find a house that suits near enough to a good school is a nightmare ...

Churchfields is pretty big but v good. Nightingale and Oakdale both v good (Oakdale have their own pool)
Wells I know v little about but their Ofsted isn't great and have no clue about Snaresbrook, I grew up here and didn't even know it existed till I started looking for my DS!
The only place I'd avoid would be Ray Lodge, which is in Woodford and is and always has been awful!

Thanks for your message. have been looking at houses on the laing estate (nr Churchfields school), good location for school, but not that inspired by the houses as they are 1930s like the one i grew up in! There are some lovely houses around - but not with the school to match.

I love Wanstead, but only really an option if you go to the church schools by the looks of it. Aldersbrook doesnt geta v inspiring Ofsted which is a shame as fab hosues round there.

Do you know much about wanstead schools? Has your DS started school yet?

We are considering a property in the Ray Lodge catchment. Is this still the case?

It is Ofsted outstanding and results are improving. It looks like results are better than Oakdale now. Any thoughts from local residents welcome!
