It's now 1pm - "lazy morning" is over.

Need to go out as I don't want to waste a whole day of our holidays.

Don't want to spend much money, don't want to walk too far.

We've done several museums already (DS2 and 3 now getting bored of them), we've been down the Royal Mile, up Arthur's Seat, along princess Street, done 2 bus tours (including the bus and boat one), Cragmillar isn't far from where I'm staying - but we've already done Inchcolm and Linlithgow,

Where should we go - what should we do??????

Go to Leith Waterworld and swim? Go to Dynamic Earth? Get in the car and go to East Link park - totally fab but near Dunbar. The big park on the Meadows - free and great. Play on the beach at Portobello or Yellowcraigs for less town beach, Chambers St museum, up to the observatory and round Blackford pond - nice ducks, nice small hill ..., climb Carlton hill, museum of flight ....

Good luck and have fun!

Day out at North Berwick?

Scotrail is running a "kids go free" promotion on Day Return tickets.

Have you been to Craigmillar Castle?

toccatanfudge · 11/08/2010 15:43

thanks for the suggestions - my brother got back from work and has taken over entertaining them for the afternoon.

He's just taken them out to the park - and the shop for some coke and some mentos.......to make rockets outside with apparently.
