Due to move to Oxford very soon and i have a baby son. Any thoughts / positive experiences (and negative experiences!) on fee paying schools (both prep and secondary) for boys in Oxford. I havent done any research yet and am starting from scratch so any experiences very gratefully received thanks

you are fine as you have a boy - much less choice for girls

in town
secondary it's MCS (academic, musical), St Edwards (sporty), d'Overbroecks (unconventional)

prep is the Dragon (big/famous) or the choir schools, or junior dept at MCS, Leckford Place (prep for d'overbroeks)
lots more in the countryside roundabout too - Chandlings near Abingdon v popular

am no use for pre-preps though, sorry

oh and if you have pots of cash consider moving into the catchment of Phil & JIm's - allegedly the most sought-afdter primaruy in the country

Thanks, on the moving front I think we might be decided on the area we are going to (which is not the area in question) but it is really useful to know this - I will have a look at the website you posted thank you
