what do people think about shopping/ centre creche facilities, do mums want to shop child free for a couple of hours, knowing your child is safe and looked after, with near by, drop them off and pick up, what do mums think are reasonable rates to charge, I am thinking of starting my own business in Liverpool, !!!

Would really appreciate it! If you covered the city centre, it would be great. The money side? Well I need to buy a small treat for each of my two sons every shopping trip to keep them happy (both under five). So paying by the hour would be OK. Keep prices similar to play centres.

I think it's an excellent idea. Shopping with kids, as much as we love them, is stressful. It'd be a more enjoyable experience for me and them if they could go and play for a couple of hours while I shopped in peace!

It is a good idea, but there was one in the strand and it didn't do a lot and is now closed

I think it's a great idea and (if it was viable from a business-point of view) I think it would be well-placed in Liverpool One. I have asked a few friends what they think and they have all commented on how they assume this would be a boon. Liverpool is now a thriving shopping city and I wish I had thought of this as an idea!

I would charge by the half hour, personally, and would look to get sponsorship from local shops such as money-off voucher incentives in order to keep the cost to parents down.

I really hope you start this up as would look forward to using it.

goodness, I'd come!! Yes to the general area of Liverpool One as well. What age range are you thinking of?

stressheaderic · 14/10/2010 21:58

Yes, yes. I think it would be really popular. If there's one thing a lot of Liverpool mums like to do, it's shop...

Facilities would have to be kept to a high standard though, not like Underwater Street, which started well but quickly turned manky.
