My 10 m is so active - anyone recommend any physical activities in waltham forest?

HI, my 10 month old son is very active - standing/cruising/fast crawling - and I'd like to take him to some play groups/activities in local area that give him space and freedom I can't provide at home. Needs to be on a Monday or Tuesday, as I'll be working rest of week. Any suggestions?

Walthamstow toy library is a good place. They have a session for under 18 months on Tuesday afternoons. Here's their website:

I also have a 10mo, but a girl who is also very active and sounds just like how you described your son! I'm going back to work in October but will have Mondays off for 6 months, so will watch this thread for any other recommendations.

Tumble in the Jungle soft play - Wood Street, Walthamstow. Have never met anyone who doesn't love it. And loads of older kids there doing exciting things to watch.

Another recommendation for tumble in the jungle. I hate soft play but kids love it.

The toddler drop ins at Lloyd park tend to have climby things and they have an outdoor space, plus you are in the park so you can let him have a walk after (you holding on obviously!)

Thanks for all your suggestions. I'll try out the toy library and tumble in the jungle. Don't suppose anyone can recommend a good playgroup on mondays or tuesdays? Churches often have pretty good ones, but I haven't found any local ones.

Yup, lloyd Park centre (term time) have a great drop-in on mon, tues, weds 1.15-3pm.

Also Waltham forest pool & track have 'toddlers world' soft play which i have heard is good though haven't ventured there yet. tues 1-4pm and holidays too i think.

Library too worth a visit, the big one in Walthamstow has a huge circle of cushions which is fun!

Try the local childrens centres there are over 20 in Waltham Forest, from Leytonstone to Chingford and all that lies in between
