Mums in Wetherby?

Hi all, Im new to Mumsnet and also Wetherby. Moved here a couple of months ago and dont really know anyone yet, still trying to find my way around and would love to make some friends over here. I have a just turned 2yr old dd xx

I know it's a dirty word round here but netmums has a good local meet-a-mum section. There doesn't seem to be an official Wetherby meet-up organiser, but you can post a request or look out for people posting from Wetherby. I'm the organiser from Harrogate - it's a bit far, but you'd be welcome to join us!

Alyakim I'm from Bardsey nr Wetherby and have a 21mth old DS and have just found out I'm expecting another in April. I would love to meet up with you if you're interested. If you are send me a message on here and I'll give you my email address.

Would be great to get out and for my DS to make a new friend - he adores girls!

I'm in Wetherby. If your BF, the health centre on Hallfield Lane, opposite the high school, has a baby cafe every Tuesday :)

I read about that MamaG but my health visitor said it wasn't really suitable for me as it was aimed at bfing mums. I was gutted as I'd have loved to have met other mums with dcs of similar age to my ds. I couldn't bf due to health reasons so felt very excluded. Shame really Sad

Oh that's a shame. I have a 21 month old DS too but don't really have time to check out all the local playgroups etc as I also have a 6 year old DS and an 11 year old DD! Plus I work part time and am renovating my house etcetc :)

I know what you mean I'm having a job getting to any playgroups. I know I should for ds but just don't seem to be able to commit to set times and days at the moment. Note to self; Must try harder!
I'm wondering if I know you. Have you lived in Wetherby all your life? How old are you if you don't mind me asking. I'm 33 (gosh that sounds alot older than I feel!).

I'm 35 but only moved to Wetherby in Dec. PIL live in Bardsey though :)

We should meet up some time, but not in school hols as it's mad at the mo!
