Have just moved to the area and want some recommendations about playgroups... which ones are friendly, not clique ridden, and not religious?!

Hi I grew up in Whitstable and now live in Herne Bay.
Have you tried the sure start centres for various groups.
They do lots of different kinds and everyone there are all really friendly.

Hi there, sorry this is a bit late, but if you still want some advice, let me know: although most of the groups are held in churches, they don't tend to be religious (I mean, you don't notice that they are). Where are you in Whitstable? There are things in town, in Tankerton, and at the Children's centres in Joy Lane and Swalecliffe. Best to find something local so you might meet mums nearby?
