flora stevenson's primary in Edinburgh and pre-schools/playgroups in the area?

we're just moving up to edinburgh from england and we're just about to put an offer in on a house which is in the catchment for (and v close to) Flora Stevenson's primary - its the holidays so we can't go and look around (we've looked around quite a few other in Edinburgh on previous trips!) - from snippets in other threads and from all the stats available and reports online it looks good...our oldest is 3.9 so would be going into the pre-school year but i am wondering if there will be any places available at all..? If there aren't, are there other pre-school type places that you can recommend?
If not, i have been wondering if stockbridge primary might have space in the nursery.. hmmm.. any advice gratefullt received, thanks!

No, just drive past the school sometimes, and know from other people that it is well regarded. Would love to live there though.

scrab - do you think they will be able to find a place for my ds in the older nursery class or are they so oversubscribed they will laugh in my face? Just want to prepare other options if needed.. any recommendations for other pre-school type places for a back plan?

Probably get in Nursery without prob I would think, main school oversubscribed, but if you in catchment should make it easier. Good luck, let us know how you get on?
