What to buy for friend emigrating to Canada?

A friend and his DW (no kids) are moving to Canada in the autumn, and a group of us are trying to gather ideas of what to get him/them.

Anyone live in Canada and have any bright ideas?! They are moving to Vancouver.

Do you and your friends have enough photos of times you've spent together to make a photo book? I've seen them done with messages as well as pictures and they are usually well received? Or a picture of your local area so they think of you all when they look at it?
