Best camping sites near Geneva?

DP wants to take DS and I camping this weekend!

It'll be my first time (since my first time 18 years ago)!

Does anyone have any recommendations?

If you want to country-hop, you're not that far from Chamonix, where there are any number of cool campsites. We enjoyed the Camping Mer de Glace.

Did not see this until now but presumably you will go again. Did you go at the weekend? The weather was awful, wasn't it?

There are a few nice campsites down on Lake Annecy. DH took the DC here last year, for the 1st May weekend.

They had not opened the outdoor pool though.
