'All welcome, Austria & Switzerland & any German-speaking Leute too'

Thank goodness it's over at long last! That was a long winter. Welcome Spring!

why are you going all mushy canella? You big softie. Maybe you're a bit clucky huh? What do you think?

I am

No way at all I am taking it further though

We had a thread on MN about what is in sausages once and I won't elaborate but it pretty much put me off meat full-stop.

ZZZenAgain · 04/06/2010 11:50

I'm supposed to be a vegetarian these days.

Aspiring vegetarian might describe it better.

Do like an occasional sausage though but only the fried ones, not so keen on the ones you heat up in water.

my god zzen i am the most un-broody person!! i remember to well how much hard work being pregnant and having a newborn is! i've done it 3 times! i've even been sterilised to make sure there are no more baby canellas!!

not sure why i am mushy!! prob time of the month!!! (thats a much better excuse than being broody!!!)

Yes, I got the cellar sorted. I went down there armed with a fly swatter (a very long armed one) and a can of fly spray (which also kills spiders. I only encountered one huge spider but had to brush all the webs down to get through to the back of the cellar. I was itching for hours!

Infact it didn't take as long as i thought it would so we're all set - just haveto pack up the few books and files that we have up in the flat and the kitchen stuff which is very minimalistic anyway.

Dd was at a super healthy birthday party yesetrday. They were out all day at a park and had one roll each with a cold hotdog and water melon for the picnic and a slice of marmor Kuchen as birthday cake. Think our next birthdays will be kept simple like that as it's definately less work.

Wow, well done, admylin! I'm sure it feels good to have everything organized. I've suddenly gotten the de-clutting bug and have been throwing away anything I can get my hands one, including three big bags of clothes from my horribly messy closet. So much stuff in there that didn't belong, but it's all out now.

We leave in a little over a week and I'm getting into my usual panic phase although there's nothing to panic about. I hate all the packing and getting ready, though. Trying to get all the washing done this week so I know where everything is when the time comes to stuff it all in the suitcases.

I'm wondering if tomorrow will bring more heat or a massive thunderstorm. Feels like my head is going to explode.

admylin · 09/06/2010 21:36

Yes, it feels as if it's getting hotter and hotter tonight, half past ten and I'm boiling hot.

I keep asking dh if he can feel the heat or am I having a pre-menopausal heat wave! I just know it's going to be so hot when we move too. We need a decent ventilator or fan and I bet I'll be over charged buying it now that it's got hot. Have to get one though as we're on 3rd floor and the heat just seems to rise.

Actually this is still a Frühling thread, we need a red hot summer thread - wer ist dran?

doesnt feel to summery today (altho its been red hot all week!) - its now raining!!

and i'm at home with ds2 - he's got chicken pox!! well i'm sure he has and dh agrees - cant be bothered to take him to the Arzt and maybe infect some others while we wait to be seen! thankfully he's not poorly!

but i just went to the Apotheke to ask if they had something like Camomile lotion and she said yes then appeared with Fenestil drops and something else that wasnt camomile lotion and charged me 12€!! i find everything really expensive at the Apotheke! i got the friend who was visiting last week to bring is paracetamol!

so anyway no MN time today - off to play with DS2 who is bored without DS1!!

admylin · 12/06/2010 12:08

Canella, hope your ds isn't suffereing too much. You can get the lotion here, dd had it for her rash (Anaesthesulf-Lotio if you ask for it at the apotheke) and when they were tiny they both had it in Germany for chicken pox. Doesn't really help much to be honest. Ds used to sit in a bowl of cool water (he had it in summer too).

Bad news - ds's friend's mum is on a life support machine now, apparantly the infection she has has shut down heart, liver and kidney. It's a horrible situation and dh said the doctors might have to ask them this weekend if they want to keep the machines on or switch off

They have said there is a very small percentage of her surviving but how on earth do you decide to give up on someone when you hear that? I really hope she fights and pulls through but it will be nearly a miracle if she does.
