'Cheap' car seats in Spain

Hi

I wonder if anyone can advise me? My parents live in Spain and I go and visit them a few times a year. I now have a lo (14 months) and I used to take my Maxi-Cosi Cabriofix on the flight with me. Obviously he has outgrown this and is now in a Maxi-Cosi Tobi in my car and it is too big to take with me.

As we will be visiting quite a few times I think it makes sense to buy a seat to keep out there (my parents collect us from the airport). I know I was shocked the last few times I have been out to see how expensive everything is compared to the UK. Can anyone recommend a good place (cheap) to buy a car seat? Obviously I want a decent one which offers protection but think that Toys R Us / El Corte Ingles might not be the cheapest places ...

Many thanks in advance

HI

You´´re better off trying one of the big supermarkets like Carreofour/Eroski. I picked up a good one in the sale in Fauvert (kind of like Halfords only has mechanics garage attched). I live here and it´s my only car seat. I think it cost about 34€.

HTH.

Hi patito

I was wondering about that. My parents got a cheap bouncer chair in Eroski. I will get them to have a look. I had never heard of Fauvert - I wonder if they have a website (off to google ...)
